Nintendo World Championships NES NWC Grey Cart #0215

Look like a well know NES collector is parting with his Grey NWC.

Up for sale is a genuine Nintendo World Championships 1990 grey cartridge. It is in good condition, works perfectly and is numbered #215. There were probably about 200-300 of these created and even fewer survived to this day. I received this game about 6 years ago in a private trade. These are quite hard to come by, as you can imagine.

The scans of the cartridge below as well as the screens shown below are of the actual cartridge you will receive. This is my husband, "Portnoyd's" cartridge.

  1. I’m not saying the NWC carts are worthless but for $10,000 is just ludacris! Especially since the Rom was dumped and reproduction carts were made. To me it just takes away the rarity factor. So it just leaves you paying for the dated plastic and PC board the NWC game is housed in.

    But that’s just me …

  2. The best offer option is there for a reason.

  3. I’m with Grooveraider on this one. In fact i’m getting the feeling that these holy grail nes items are coming to the end. Prices are getting out of control and only like 12 people in the world care. I think this version is coming up to much these days and with the amount floating around its not worth it.

  4. Nooooooooooooooo Portobo!!!!!

  5. all the people who shelled out 1000′s of dollars for stupid f’n nintendo games and mem are in for sadness….. the real world does not care about old outdated bs..you think your uncle or aunt or friend really cares you spent 10k on a “real” nwc.no they think you are a retard and need help. $500 is too much for this. i mean get real people wtf…im sure visa and mc love them though because of the debt they go into over something worthless..but thats IMO..and pretty much 99.999% of the world

  6. If it’s any consolation, I traded $600 worth of stuff for this copy of the NWC. :P

  7. Funny thing is, after this was dumped and reproed, the price for the original went up. Everyone has their opinions–everyone has their speculations, but the fact of the matter is that this is still a very cheap hobby to collect for compared to coin, stamp, comic, etc. when the #1 item most expensive item can be had for under $20k.

  8. Perhaps the price increased when the media got involved with that JJ games character who promoted his business by spending $17,500 on a Gold NWC cart. Its like when the “circus” is in-town it starts to attract moronic pseudo-gamers making statements such as NWC carts could overtime equal to the Mona Lisa or the Honus Wagner baseball card in value. Oh please! That could’ve been the case hadn’t the Rom spread to the masses! I’d then be paying for exclusivity plus its uniqueness. If not, then what’s the point besides acting like someone with no common sense?

    But that’s just me …

  9. Waah, waah, waah. Good luck with your sale Port and A! I hope you get $10k.

  10. hey just wanted to let you know this is a reproduction copy not an original you can tell by the back-also the glue on the original copy were made very cheap and the fact that this copy looks almost flawless tells me it’s a fake

  11. ROFL abe, good one. It’s 100% legit.

  12. Its kidna like therobotking on eBay…buy up all the robs, pays $30 for one, turns around and trys to sell at $199 and jacks the prices up

  13. Well, say what you will, I still think it’s a great collectible, and worth the price it fetches due to it’s rarity.

Note, it sold on a Best Offer of $6,500.

  14. god dam* what a awesome % on investment portnoyd!
