$160 is pretty hefty for what is a Japanese-only RPG, even if it is a non-final prototype.

Funniest part: “FYI: I have a smoke and pet free home but many of my items are second hand and I have no way of knowing if the previous owners had smoking pets.”

How is the price unreasonable just because it’s Japanese? Because it’s not a language YOU understand, thus it has no value to you because you couldn’t play it? What stupid logic. I’d think prototypes of RPGs would generally be worth a lot, especially if it’s as early as the guy makes it out to be. I can’t see the argument that just because it’s a Japanese RPG that wasn’t released over here, suddenly it wouldn’t be worth at least that price. Yet a FF3 “prototype” that’s just the final game with maybe some text differences only would be worth something into the thousands I’m sure, right?
Found it funny how drx of hidden palace jumped on him immediately asking about Sonic protos, as you can see in the questions area lol
I’ve kept track of about a dozen SFC prototype auctions during the past couple of months, and they averaged about 4000-6000 Yen each, including higher profile RPGs than Emerald Dragon. The highest priced one was 10000 yen, which was Mortal Kombat, which I can guarantee went that high because DreamTR went after it.
So yeah, you can spout off all you want, “fdafa”, but when I make a statement about something snes or sfc related, I think I know what I am talking about because I pay very close attention to such things.

I love how it’s so incredibly obvious when the seller on overpriced crap makes a response on these posts.

Random Famicom RPGs are like sports titles in the US, they’re near worthless.

I wouldn’t say that it is crap, portnoyd, but a prototype like that shouldn’t be worth more than $40-$70.
Also, it looks like people are catching on to my observation that SFC RPGs have little value.
