Final Fantasy VI V-Jump prize

Written by Nicola on 18th November, 2009

My laptop was making strange noises. I gave it to a service center where they let something fall on the computer's screen.

I have no laptop. You'll have to wait a bit to see new searches by me.

Anyway I would like to feature something already advertised on our forums:

Our dear Koopa found a Final Fantasy VI prize item from the 1994 Final Fantasy VI V-Jump magazine and a 1997 ZELDA STATUE LINK 15 inches

DSC02072

Other items on our forum really worth featuring:

Portnoyd selling 2 unreleased Game Gear protos called The Berlin Wall and Street Hero

Borman selling a nice Xbox DEV lot with something unreleased too

    Gotta love Kefka’s Domain’s prices!

There’s an FFVII item that’s very similar to that FFVI one (and it’s also a V-Jump prize), but I’ve never seen it on eBay.

Saw that same ff6 price set go for 380 euros in a french auction. The seller had the box that goes with the price set tho….so this one is missing the box.

That was never given out by V-Jump magazine. It was a prize held by Banpresto (Bandai) and the contest entry was provided in pamphlets inserted into the capsules containing FFVI keychains that you would win in Japanese arcade machines. It has absolutely nothing to do with V-Jump magazine. That guy has no idea what hes talking about half the time he just pulls things out his arse.

i have the V-Jump magazine for ff 6 actually and in it you have that exact statue keychain, it wasn’t a price from bandai which i dont know where you got that from. it was a prize from V-jump if you can ready japanese it says it in the magainze lol.

Hey kefka, nice to see you on here ;) No your mistaken, the picture in V-Jump magazine simply shows available merchandise, it was not a contest held by V-Jump. I entered the contest and won a set, so I know.

i have the vjump magazine and i know the keychains in it but i dont see no contest. who actually gave this out bandai or vjump?

  7. joeboss on November 18th, 2009 7:10 pm

    Bandai…..

Is it likely the contest was partially sponsored by V-Jump? The FFVII set I mentioned is listed in a V-Jump FFVII publication (not the Perfect guide, but an earlier one published in Feb. 1997). I’ve never seen it anywhere else.
    .
I can verify that the figures are the same as those made into keychains. They were definitely made by Bandai, at least.

  9. joeboss on November 18th, 2009 7:51 pm

V-Jump does not sponsor Bandai contests. I have won all sorts of items from various Bandai contests and V-Jump is in no way involved. The only reference that you will find to those keychains is in a special edition magazine where they show available merchandise. You could never enter the contest through a V-Jump magazine. You had to obtain the pamphlet for the address and contest information. It is a Bandai contest, held by Bandai, promoted by Bandai, and shipped by Bandai. V-Jump has their own separate contests and this item was never a part of that.

Moral of the story: Kefka’s Domain’s prices are insanely high.

  11. onema on November 18th, 2009 10:01 pm

from experience anyone selling final fantasy items over price period. i would like to own this set but its too expensive. i can do a lot more with 500 bucks haha

  12. threep203 on November 19th, 2009 2:31 pm

how can you say you entered several contests when they were held in japan dumbass. you sound as english as they come. Unless of course you lived there in 1994 and speak fluently in japanese I would believe your story. I don’t care if the seller prices his items high, thats irrelevant, I’m just stating what I know since I have the magazine. The seller from france who sold the same set stated the same thing that it was V-jump. I want this item but wont pay 250 euro or 500 us.

I used to live in Japan and have family there, I know what Im talking about, your looking at pretty pictures in a magazine and making assumptions.

It’s obvious that you are kefkasdomain. It’s funny how there’s also one person (just one mind you) on all these different forums trying to defend his store yet everyone else knows he’s full of BS. You get all your items off of Yahoo Auctions Japan using the deputy service ID (KONNICHIDO). Go ahead and browse through the feedback and find all the items in his store and see for yourself. Hes a freaking rip-off artist.

drama tell me about it. I think I pushed the wrong button LOL. I don’t get where you are saying I’m the seller. I just know the guy from France said the same thing, so does the kefkasdomain so two people can’t be wrong??? I would like to know it’s origin, not debate for stupid reasons. If you know for a fact that you were able to get it through Bandai then show me, why would they show it in a V-Jump magazine? as for link it’s all encrypted.
