Sure AVGN has his fanbase, but I see AVGN collecting as about as useful as owning the shirt from the numa numa guy.
AVGN and Numa Numa Guy are born on Youtube, that’s the only difference I see between them and, maybe, other comedians, born on TV, that would look more attractive to a collector.
It’s the institution that changes.
As video game collectibles it might not make much sense. But if one is a fan of his work then sure, why not?
And he easily has the best quality reviews of all the “angry game reviewers” out there. You gotta give him that.
