I’m not saying they aren’t real – they just look like carts with homemade labels. Even your linked article doesn’t state what they are to any degree of certainty.

I bought one of those games and after buying it and regretting it for a while i spoke to the guy selling it and he said hes like 99% sure they are majesco demo carts

When a company is too cheap to print real labels. And wow, that Gears 360 LE was a steal. The BIN may be a grand, but it’s an Elite and he throws in a Zune too. That’s like $600 retail value behind it.
So yeterday it was pirate NES cartridges as protos and today it’s SNES cartridges with homemade labels as demos? Yeah, sure.
