That is NOT the art to any gameboy game. The gameboy instructions are usually the same as the box and if they would use another piece for the instructions they would pick one done landscape not portrait.
I’m going to try my best on the SMAS proto, even though PredatorXS says it is final.

Yeah, given that the SMA proto is in a US cart and it came out in Japan first it’s likely there won’t be any earth shattering differences in there (assuming it isn’t an early JP version put into a US cart).
Of course since the game is a remake of the NES games even early versions probably wouldn’t have held any surprising levels/enemies/features that were cut.

I’m surprised that Gearbolt case went for as low as it did. That case is almost legendary.

I’m guessing that the Gearbolt case went for a low amount because of the zero feedback of the seller, and that there was no “winners letter” that normally came with the case.

When did 1700 become ‘low’? I know what Dangerboy paid for his, and it sure wasn’t 1700.

1700 is a lot for case and a glod plated gun. The game is the same as retail correct?

I wonder why the seller ended it early.

Isn’t this a big deal for PS1 collectors? I mean, they were hand-made and all that? *shrug* I thought the number in existence and the lore behind it would command more.

It’s a huge deal for PS1 collectors! With less than 50 made (for the Assassins Case Edition) it’s the rarest game on the console.
Also, it’s a great game, especially for light-gun enthusiasts.
LOL, the SMA cart sold for more than the BIN price it originally had!

@ Buyatari yes, the game is a retail copy, its all about the case/gun.
@ Port It is a big deal, but for something that was a marketing device that were mostly given to creators of the game and those who had some kind of hand in its US port, unless you’re UBER PS person, it’s not part of any retail collection and is pure epenis owning only. I think i’m a big deal PS guy and i’d not go after it for that much.
