Never heard of it and I don’t think DP has either. That says a lot.
The game in question is mine. In addition to the question posed I would like to ask how does one go about creating a market for a game seemingly so rare it isn’t on anyone’s radar?
Regarding creating a market:
First, I would recommend investing at least $24k towards a decent marketing campaign. This would include cable tv ads, radio spots targeting hobbiest stations/programs, and some print ads in video game magazines. For the magazines, I would suggest running the ad in the ‘retro’ section they have near the back. In ALL of the ads, you should definitely run with the slogan of “a game seemingly so rare it isn’t on anyone’s radar”.
This should generate a pretty good interest-base for consumers. Once you have that you can simply put it on ebay with a reserve of $99,999.
Ray, do you have any pics of the game available? (The board is down for spam reasons right now and I am not sure if you have any on there).
As for a marketing campaign, can you give any info as to how you acquired the game? If so, it may help us find track the source. Rarities of this sort are only uncovered a couple times a year and the first thing to do is to verify its authenticity.
I thought I had a 100 percent NA Genesis Collection (Yes I even have the Outback Joey set) You mean I missed one?! :O I would be very interested in seeing pics of this one ^^
Guys, it’s an unreleased prototype. Not an official release. Some protos have cases for Genesis with sheets of paper for instructions. It’s 100% bonafide.
@ Jason Wilson. Oh okay. I have a huge collection of Genesis Prototypes, but not one of them has a box. I’ve never actually seen a prototype with a box, so that may be why I got confused. Thanks for informing me about that ^^
