Comic Con 2008 LE XBOX 360 Consoles

Apparently at this years San Diego Comic Con there was a set of customized, limited edition X-Box consoles given away at the Warner Bros. booth. Each featured a different property, including: Watchmen, DC Comics, Terminator Salvation and Gears of War.

I have no idea if there was only one of each given away, or if there were several.

The Watchman version has shown up on eBay already though, and ended earlier today. In my mind, the price is actually pretty decent considering that these are probably even more rare than other LE 360's such as Simpsons, GTA and 300 - which have sold for around the same price range or higher.

They gave away 5 Watchmen XBox 360’s randomly to those at the Watchmen panel, if you texted to a certain number. I didn’t bother. :p

They also scanned in your nametag at the Warner Bros and Xbox booths too. One of each console were given away each day, so that makes about ten Watchmen ones. (I think there were six given out at the Terminator panel as well.) I wish I was rich.

Seeing as how I’m a pretty huge xbox nut, this back to back 360 news is certainly something I can dig. I was glad to see most, if not all, the devkits getting a link, and now there have been lots of LEs showing up. I wonder though if there are any other modern rarities asside from just consoles themselves. I’m all about modern collecting, though it is sometimes less exciting than vintage collecting. Makes me wonder if my sealed HDDVD player will ever be valuable…..

Yeah there was one of each available each day, so at least five of each barring the extras mentioned. At least I tried to win any of them heh… I took closer shots of them all for a certain videogame promo site…

Well, I am surprised to announce that my wife and I were the winners of the Limited Edition DC Comics XBOX here in Los Angeles, California. We had no idea had been delivered to us from the UPS store and there was no return address to send a thanx to.
