Countdown To Christmas Contest Day #5

Written by Link on 14th December, 2007

Today we have a prize pack which includes:

A Video Game Collector #8 and VGC #1/2 from Video Game Collector Magazine.

video game collector

Users choice of a Video Game Sprite T-Shirt and Mousepad from eBay seller RetroRalphs

Any NES game of your choice from GAMEREPRODUCTIONS.COM & Two NES or SNES USB RetroPorts from RetroUSB.com (Winner’s Choice).

Sega Saturn Modchip from Robb Webb’s online store.

As well as a bonus random prize of an Extreme Flash Advance 256Mbit LC, GBA flash cartridges from TotalGBA.com

How To Win

This one looks hard, but is relatively easy. Saturday and Sundays will be much easier however, so stay tuned as it won’t be so much of an answer this, or do xxx at xxx time sort of deal.

It will be a TRUE test of your gameSniped abilities. Stay tuned for the best prizes yet!

Identify all ten items.

 contest-day-5

First correct answer via comments wins. Once again, you NEED to be registered to win. That’s the only way I can confirm your the person who posted and make sure you get your prize. Go here to register.

ONE ONE ENTRY PER PERSON.

Post as many times as you like to chat, but only once for your guess.

Side note: Hotmail users are having trouble getting their registration messages. Contact me directly if you cant so I can reset your password and send it to you. And once again, I’m going to give out the second prize to a random registered person tomorrow morning. Only one entry per person.

If you’ve won a previous prize, you’re ALLOWED to enter any subsequent daily contest. However, you can only receive one prize pack. The other goes back up for grabs. Say for example you win day two and day five. If you like day five better, you can take that instead, but the day one prize will be awarded to someone else. Apologies for the changes, but it’s in the interest of fairness.

@Ryushikaze - I don’t know, if there was a tiny angled photo of just the left part of an NES Turbo Touch 360…

  16. Ryushikaze on December 14th, 2007 8:53 pm

But the left part of a Turbo Touch 360 is a different color. Nothing about the turbo touch was as raised from the rest of the controller enough to appear as it does in the second image.

On the whole, its front surface had about as much difference of depth from nearest to farthest as the dogbone controller did, though the tt360 had sharper inclines.

  17. otakuman706 on December 14th, 2007 10:58 pm

    1 NES Gyro
    2 NES Zapper

    10 NES Vaus Controller
After seeing them all I suppose the “NES” before them is unnecessary, but oh well.

  18. otakuman706 on December 14th, 2007 11:02 pm

I wasn’t the first with those guesses at all…..

  19. mykybaby28 on December 14th, 2007 11:41 pm

The only one i’m not fairly sure about is number 2, which wo me looks like a red button from an deep angle and you can kind of see a bit of shading as if to suggest a lip (if you enlarge the image). The only peripherals i could find which are largely white with red buttons are the supersonic and the freedom stick, so as its 4:40am and i’m gonna lose anyway i’m just gonna pick one and finally go to bed. woots.

  21. jasonc on December 15th, 2007 2:05 am

OK - I’ve been at this for an hour and a half or so - and I really can’t beleive I’ve spent that much time on it - but here goes

    1. R.o.b. gyro
    2. Orange Zapper
    3. Nes Advantage

    5. NES Controller
    6. Power Glove

    8. NES Max
    9. U Force
    10. Vaus Controller

    I’m positive on 3 4 5 6 8 9 10
I’m not convinced about number one or two - but I’ve spent too much time looking already. Also, 7 could very easily be the quickshot - but it seems the color is a little different.

A great site for anyone that is much more ambitous than I (It’s got pics of 132 different NES controllers) … http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/1521712485082689287LAuQyA

    ah well - there’s my one guess…

ProtonX was the first to correctly identify the NES Accessories.
